1. Information we may collect

Depending on the feature used, RentoStreet may collect name, Indian WhatsApp/mobile number, optional email address, account identifiers, listing details, property information, uploaded images or videos, enquiry details, support messages, payment references, verification information, device and browser information, IP address, approximate or precise location when permission is granted, usage analytics and security logs.

2. WhatsApp OTP authentication

RentoStreet may use WhatsApp or an approved messaging provider to send one-time passwords for registration and login. Mobile numbers and authentication logs may be processed for account access, abuse prevention, fraud detection and security.

3. Location information

If a user chooses “Use current location”, the browser may request location permission. Coordinates may be sent to a configured mapping provider, such as Google Maps, to identify the nearest city or locality. Location access is optional and subject to device/browser permissions.

4. Property listings and public information

Information intentionally published in a property listing may be visible to other users and search engines depending on platform settings. Users should avoid uploading documents or personal information that they do not want publicly displayed.

5. How information may be used

RentoStreet may use information to create and secure accounts, publish and manage listings, process enquiries, provide support, facilitate site visits, operate CRM workflows, prevent fraud, moderate content, process payments, improve search and recommendations, measure performance, send service communications, comply with law and protect users and the platform.

Property Wish and representative follow-up

When a user submits a Property Wish, RentoStreet may process the requested location, budget, property preferences, stay dates, guest count and free-text requirements. This information may be made available to authorized RentoStreet representatives or employees so they can identify potential matches and contact the user for follow-up.

Short Stay information

For Short Stay requests or bookings, RentoStreet may process stay dates, guest count, accommodation preferences, booking status, payment references and communications required to facilitate the requested stay.

Bidding information

When a user participates in property bidding, RentoStreet may process bid amounts, timestamps, bidder account identifiers, bid status and related security logs. Bid information may be visible to the property owner, authorized staff or other users where required by the bidding design.

6. Payments

Payment transactions may be handled by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. RentoStreet may receive transaction IDs, payment status, amount and related references, but should not intentionally store full card details unless expressly required and handled in compliance with applicable payment-security standards.

7. Third-party services

RentoStreet may use third-party providers for WhatsApp messaging, Google Sign-In, Google Maps, hosting, analytics, email, advertisements, fraud prevention and payment processing. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and contractual terms.

8. Advertising and analytics

If Google AdSense, Google Analytics or another advertising/analytics service is enabled, cookies or similar technologies may be used to measure usage, personalize or deliver advertisements, prevent abuse and understand website performance.
